About the Artist

Marina was always an artist at heart. Unknowing that it would all begin when she was in the 5th grade where she made her first ever piece that was dedicated to her love of listening to music. It would then carry into high school where she would continue to make really cool, but cringe worthy pieces. Only after she realized being an artist is what she really felt was her calling, she decided to go to college for art….and there the actual journey began.

Throughout college Marina really fell into a deeper love for Ceramics and other art forms. She came to learn about famous bodies of work and perfect her own skills in the field. She was also able to do work study as the assistant to the Ceramics Studio Technician. Everyday helping students and faculty with numerous tasks for most of her college career. After graduating and receiving her BFA in Studio Art, Marina ventured into other lines of work. Given opportunities to work as a Scenic Artist for the theme parks in and around Orlando and later to be a Ceramics Sales Specialist at Axner/Laguna Clay Company.

Marina is now a full-time artist looking to expand her skills and share her love and art with those around her. In pursuit of higher education, the journey is never ending and hopes to achieve the goals she sets out to become an Artist she would always strive to be.
